Hello all,
I am having a lot of trouble getting my new lab working in a Eero house and so I need a new plan.
I am thinking I will put my lab in one new IP space, and have a router to connect it to Eero to get to the Internet. I think this idea is better, but routing is not one of my skill sets.
Can anyone suggest a simple plain router I could use in a virtual machine or a simple hardware device?
I could really use some help with this.
Update:
I have heard from a number of you and I really appreciate the help. It looks like Vyos and Windows Routing are the two easiest choices and I will check them both out. I really do appreciate the help - thank you.
Much thanks,
Michael

What about pfsense? https://www.pfsense.org/download/
What about Linux box?
What about Vmware nsx?
Hi Roger,
Thanks for the help. I don’t know Linux very well, and NSX is too complex but I will check out pfsense. Thank you!
Michael
Look into ClearOS as well. https://www.clearos.com/
Thanks, I will check it out.

Pfsense is pretty straight forward to set up, you can do most of it from GUI.
Thanks, much appreciated. Will check it out.
