ALS and wheelchairs

What I talk about below may not work for all ALS patients but it will for some.

I learned from an ALS doctor that people end up in wheelchairs when they get super weak.

I am trying to avoid being a wheelchair for as long as I can.  I walk each day – first day short walk, and next day long walk. Do not do two long walks in a row as that will mess you up. In addition, at the ALS clinic I go to they have a Physical Therapist and I am going to spend some time with her to try and help my arms out.

The idea here is to avoid being super weak.
