iOS 13 is here!

It is here now, but there is a lot in it to learn so I was more careful finding links to share.  As well, I noticed the update was available on my phone much quicker than via iTunes.

I have updated only an iPhone (iPhone 8).  When I updated the iPhone it had do a simple little update of something on the phone.  It took a few minutes. Not sure what it was. But it had to finish before I could update the iPhone. Once it was done I started iTunes again and did the update without any issues.  In the past I have had apps like Evernote and Tripit not maintain their passwords but they did this time.  I have not found any apps that did not maintain their password which is the design. I was prompted at first look after the update to do iCloud authentication but my password did not work so I said skipped. But once in I could see iCloud was OK and did not need an credentials check.

I use iTunes to do the updates since that will also do an encrypted backup which will get everything.  Just in case!

BTW, iPadOS will release on the 30th or the 24th.  I have seen both dates.  When it ships iOS 13.1 will likely ship as well. Update - confirmed it is out on the 24th, and if you want, you can wait for 13.1 before you update your phone.

Also, your iOS 13 Reminders will ask you to update.  But, be aware that all your devices will need to be updated first - so iPad and Mac.  Once the iPad is 13 and one your Mac is updated as well, then you can let Reminders update.  If you don’t read this and let it update, it will not work with your not - updated devices.
