This is a quick note to let you know that Veeam 9.5 Update3a is now available via this link. I have done a few updates with it and no issues for me were found.
This sounds like a small update but it is a big one so make sure to read the KB article. I know many of you want this update for your vSphere 6.7 upgrade projects. I am very fond of vSphere 6.7 and think it will turn out over time as a very solid release. I was very impressed with it in beta.
So aside from vSphere 6.7 support what else is in this release? All sorts of things – some improvements for customers at scale, both in the UI but also for customers using 3Par. There is also an HTML5 vSphere Client plug-in available – in fact the install of that will install either HTML5 or Flash as appropriate.
But check out the readme and see for yourself all the goodness, and start your upgrade! As soon as I am back home I am doing mine!
- 7/3/18 – here is a link to a support article about a problem with the HTML5 client and the Veeam plug-in after upgrading. This is likely to make me remove my plug-in before I do the upgrade? We will see.
- 7/3/18 – here is a link to an article that talks about the HTML5 client. It shows some troubleshooting I hope you don’t have to do. This coming weekend i will be doing an upgrade of the old client to the new one and see how it goes.
