I have now updated my work MacBook Pro and a home MacBook Air to 10.12.2 with no issues. Took less than an hour. Of course, I did have a current BackBlaze cloud backup, and Time Machine, and in case it went really bad I had an image backup with SuperDuper. But, alas, no issues.
For me, there is not much in this release but there was quite a number of fixes, and even security fixes so it is worth applying and for the late 2016 MacBook Pro people (like me) it is most certainly worth updating.
I should add, that it does not hurt or break any of my typical apps – Office 2016, SecureCRT, SecureFX, View, Tweetbot, 1Password, Evernote, Chrome, Firefox, BusyCal, BusyContacts, Slack, Jump Desktop, Sublime, and Sonos.
I am happy with how well it has gone so I have passed the word to my wife OK to update.
- 12/17/16 – Matt mentioned he has been using this version for about a week on a 2013 MBA with no issues. Thanks Matt.
