New Storage in the family!

Hello all,

I recently had a small issue with one of my storage arrays in my home lab.  I asked on Twitter if I should replace the drive or the array and I had one person say to replace the drive.  But I had 4 or 5 say Synology.  Last night I saw some twitter traffic between @ErikBussink and @Scott_Lowe on this subject.  I worked once with Scott at an event and I quite like him, so when they were both talking about a Synology NAS I listened.  I then did some research where I found a number of things that were good at helping me make up my mind but particularly this and this.  So I splurged and bought a DS1813+.  Thanks to everyone who helped me to find this choice!  I am not sure when it will show up exactly but I am excited.  I will be sure to share how it turns out.  I have a large CIFS file share to move to it, as well as NFS / iSCSI in use with VMware.  So I will go from three arrays to one and end up with something better as well.  I will also share out how I do the file movement too.
